Zawistowski Comments on Future Plans after not being named ORP Chairman

Columbus – Tom Zawistowski, was defeated today in his bid to become the next Chairman of the Ohio Republican Party in a vote by the State Central Committee.  After the vote Zawistowski said, “While I congratulate the new Chairman, I continue to have deep concerns about the anger in the base concerning the direction of the Republican party.  This vote will clearly not solve the outstanding issues and concerns and the ramifications will be far reaching unless the ORP and the Governor take appropriate action. I have spelled out what those actions must be and I hope that they begin implementing them.   We will be meeting with our coalition partners over the next month or so to consider our options.  No matter what, we will continue to push for conservative governance going forward at the local, state and federal levels and I look forward to being involved with that effort.”

Zawistowski is a resident of Summit County and CEO of TRZ Communications in Portage County.  He is the Executive Director of the Portage County TEA Party and the President of the We the People Convention.
